Objective

Offer locally delivered learning support, reviewed age-appropriate health and life information, and accessible, Arabic-first materials for children, in a way that complements rather than duplicates existing services.

Approach

Read moreRead less: Namaa: Approach
  1. 1.Local service mapping to understand what already exists in a given area
  2. 2.A needs assessment specific to that location
  3. 3.Selecting services based on identified, unmet needs
  4. 4.Time-limited delivery rather than an open-ended commitment
  5. 5.A structured evaluation before any decision to continue or expand
  6. 6.An internal, facilitator-facing open-source tool — not child-facing — for scheduling, content selection, and progress documentation, with any AI assistance limited to drafting under human review

Boundaries and current status

Namaa is not intended to replace schools, medical professionals, or existing humanitarian programmes. It would not issue school certificates or create a competing curriculum, and it would not diagnose conditions, provide treatment, or replace professional counselling. Any Namaa pilot would require confirmed legal, tax, banking and child-protection arrangements, as well as a confirmed Syrian partner, before delivery could begin — and a JRS-funded centre already operating in Jaramana means Namaa would need to demonstrate a concrete, complementary gap before any application could proceed.
